Calling all first year law students! Please join the New Lawyers and Law Students Committee on May 13th for GAPABA’s Law Review Write-On and Moot Court Tryout Workshop, hosted by Troutman Pepper Locke LLP. This event will be broken up into two sessions, with a buffet dinner served in between. At 6:00 p.m., students will hear from former law review board members, gaining all the tips and tricks to acing the write-on competition. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the workshop will turn to the strategies and pitfalls of moot court tryouts, as well as a live oral argument demonstration! Registrants are welcome to attend one or both sessions. Registration will close on May 9, 2025. Details for entry and parking will be sent after registration.

- The event will be in 3 PARTS in total. The first hour will be a Law Review Workshop, with tips, tricks and advice for law students who will participate in the write-on competition. Dinner will begin around 7pm (sponsored by Troutman). At 7:30, we will begin an hour workshop geared for students who plan to compete in Moot Court tryouts.

MICHAEL FOO, Associate at Troutman Pepper Locke: Michael is a former Symposium Editor for the Georgia State Law Review and Moot Court coach at Georgia State Law.
HOLLY INGRAM, Associate at Troutman Pepper Locke: Holly is the former editor-in-chief of the Wake Forest Law Review.
GRACE CHUNG, 2024 Georgia State College of Law Graduate: She is the former Moot Court Vice President of Appellate Advocacy at GSU and was a national semi-finalist in the Thomas-Tang competition.
